The Competition was devised to provide a public platform for talent which might otherwise go unheard, and to give musicians the experience of solo performing, and also to encourage the pursuance of classical music. The Competition is an exciting showcase for musicians – and orchestral managers, music societies, other promoters and agents attend the Competition to hear the array of talent.
